There's no escape...
Gotham City has been, quite literally, torn apart. It was a single, solitary act by Gotham's very own King of Comedy, the Joker. Alongside his bombshell assistant Dr. Harleen Quinzel, AKA: Harley Quinn, the Joker not only escaped from Arkham Asylum, but succeeded in releasing every prisoner within its walls. The facility, in the ensuing chaos, was utterly destroyed. What was once a state of the art prison for the criminally insane is now just a pile of smoldering ashes, and with its passing, so entered Gotham into her darkest hours.

So where do you stand? Do you fight for evil? There are plenty of Supervillains waiting for your allegiance. Do you fight for yourself? The fate of Gotham will be yours to control. Or do you fight for good, alongside the Batman and his Allies? Only one thing is clear, it seems. No matter what your choice, there can be No. Escape.

Alright. These, little ones, are the rules. Learn 'em, live 'em, love 'em.

1.) This is an advanced RPG. I'm aiming for, a the very least, three sizeable paragraphs in every post. Generally, people here will RP Multi-Para. Please follow their example.

2.) Spell check is your friend. Numerous grammar and spelling mistakes are damaging in a roleplay. People have to spend all their energy sifting through your writing and they lose inspiration for the threads. We all make typos, but not in every sentence. Do try to curve it.

3.) This RP is to be done in Past Tense. For example, you would write:

"Harley kicked the guard in the face" NOT "Harley kicks the guard in the face".

Savvy?

4.) Please be polite and courteous to ALL other players. For as much as we know, we have people of all races, creeds, religion and persuasions in this Roleplay. Therefore, no comment that is singularly offensive to any specific Race, Religion, Creed, Gender, etc. etc. etc. will be accepted. It will result in an instant ban. The ONLY situation in which this will be accepted is if your character is prejudiced in that way. Which brings us to rule five.

5.) It is very important that everyone understand the line between IC and OOC. The Joker may be a jerk to me IC, but I know his player is my friend OOC. Any instance of someone taking IC conflict into the OOC world will be dealt with. Conversely, anyone seeking to gain OOC knowledge about a player without his/her express permission will be IP banned immediately. This is creepy and stalker-ish. If the two of you want to exchange IMs and talk and all that, do it on your time please. Don't let me find out. But for those stalkers out there, leave it be, alright? Thanks.

6.) No God-Moding. In a world filled with Super powers etc., God-Moding is a big concern. You will be warned twice, then banned if it persists. It just takes all the fun out of a Role Play if other people play as though they're God. No bueno.

7.) And finally, NO PLAGIARISM. I cannot express this enough. If you are caught, you will be warned once and only once. This is to eliminate any cases of slight plagiarism resulting in a ban. This is a serious offense. Writers and Roleplayers take pride in their work, and if you steal it, you're no better than a purse snatcher or a mugger. Please. Don't. Plagiarize. Have confidence in your work! We're not mean here! Well, not OOC. xP You get one warning. The second offense results in an instant ban.

==============================================

All punishments are, ultimately, up to the staff. If the offense is great enough, we can and will punish to our discretion. But I don't want to have to, ok? It puts a damber on the whole d**n day. So. Let's just go ahead and be nice little lumplings, okie day? Danke.
